About the Brand

Lacoste was launched by French tennis player René Lacoste who considered a knit polo shirt to be the most practical clothing for the game, and by the 1950s Lacoste was marketed as “the status symbol of the competent sportsman.” Since then, Lacoste has held its place as a wardrobe staple among tennis and non-tennis players alike. In 2010, under the guidance of designer Felipe Oliveira, Lacoste continues to invoke the spirit and sporting heritage of its founder, offering French sensibilities with a touch of everyday ease.
